Quick Start — How to use ChinVerify

ChinVerify helps you quickly find official registration and credit information about Chinese companies. Use the search bar on the homepage to start — you can search by full company name, partial name, or unified social credit code / registration number.

Step 1 — Search

Enter the company name or registration number in the main search field and press Enter (or click Search).

  • Use full name when possible for precise results.
  • If you only have part of the name, use fewer words and scan the result list.
  • Registration numbers are unique — searching them returns exact matches.

Step 2 — Filter & Refine

If the search returns multiple hits, refine results by:

  • Adding a location or province name
  • Try alternative spellings or common abbreviations

Step 3 — Read and interpret the result

Click a result to open the company profile page. Typical fields you will see:

  • Registered name — official name on record.
  • Unified social credit code (USCC) — unique identifier for the company.
  • Legal representative — person registered as the legal rep.
  • Business scope — the primary permitted business activities.
  • Registration status — active, revoked, canceled, etc. (Use this to assess legitimacy.)

Step 4 — Save, export or share

When you find an important company, you can:

  • Save it to your profile (log in required) so you can quickly return to it later.
  • Copy the company URL to share with colleagues.
  • Use any export or screenshot tools on the profile page if you need an offline copy.

Step 5 — Verify, cross-check and report

Data on chinverify is aggregated from official sources where available. For high-stakes decisions:

  • Cross-check the registration number against the official provincial registry website shown in the profile (if available).

Practical Tips

  • When working with suppliers, always verify the USCC and the legal representative against the business license.
  • If multiple companies share similar names, prefer searching by USCC for exact matches.
  • Use the 'status' field to quickly filter out companies that have been revoked or declared abnormal.
